Immigrant Rights


CNC Education Fund is a statewide steering committee member of the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC).  CIPC advances inclusive policies that build a prosperous future for all Californians using policy analysis, advocacy and capacity building to unlock the power of immigrants in California.

The CIPC steering committee is comprised of 11 regional coalitions and organizations that work with immigrant communities throughout California, the Steering Committee provides guidance on CIPC’s annual legislative agenda, informed by input from CIPC's statewide Advisory Council and immigrant communities.

Recent victories include the passage of: 

  • CA Trust Act
  • CA DREAM Act (AB 130)(AB131)
  • AB 60

While we are proud of the victories for immigrant families in California.  There is significant unfinished business at the federal level. CNC Education Fund is committed to achieving Federal Comprehensive Immigration Reform with a path to citizenship.  To that end, we are a member of Mobilize the Immigrant Vote collaborative. 

MIV is a multi-ethnic coalition of community-based organizations working within immigrant communities with a commitment to leadership development and civic participation.  Together, we are calling for a common sense, and modern federal immigration process that will unite families here in America, and ensure opportunities for all Americans, including the 11 million aspiring citizens who’ve moved to this country to pursue the American Dream.
